		<description><![CDATA[Plato Learning (TUTR), a leading provider of computer-based and e-learning instruction for kindergarten, reported results for the third quarter with earnings of 1 cent per share. Earnings were better than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a net loss of 1 cent, and a net loss of 9 cents per share in the prior-year quarter. The positive earnings surprise in the quarter was primarily driven by strong subscription revenue growth and lower operating costs. Despite a 16.5% increase in subscription revenues, net revenues declined 10.2% year-over-year to $16.7 million. The decline was due to the continuing decrease in license fees from legacy perpetual products. Further, the transition to recurring revenue subscription products also led to the contraction of the top-line. The gross margin expanded to 57.4% versus 50.0% in the comparable ]]></description>
