Oil drilling equipment maker FMC Technologies Inc. (FTI) reported a mixed fourth quarter and full-year 2010 results. The adjusted company’s earnings per share from continuing operations in fourth quarter came at 69 cents, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by a penny. Compared with the year-ago quarter, earnings per share declined 8.0% from 75 cents, primarily due to lower volumes in the subsea systems and reduced operating income. Full-year 2010 earnings were $3.06 per share, up 6.3% year over year and 4.1% higher than our projection. The company’s quarterly revenue of $1,102.8 million surpassed our expectation of $1,056 million. On a year-over-year basis, revenue declined 4.9% from $1,160.2 million as sales declined in the company’s Energy Production Systems segment. FMC Technologies generated total revenue of $4,125.6 million in 2010, down 6.4%
