The new discovery made in Dongfang (DF) 13-2 is situated in the north of central sag in Yinggehai Basin of Western South China Sea. The successful evaluation of the middle formation of the DF 13-1 gas field in 2010 has resulted in this new discovery. The new find at DF 13-2 struck gas pay zones in a water depth of 65 meters, having a total thickness of 35 meters and a well depth of 3,168 meters.
On Thursday, markets registered modest upward movement. The blue chip index was led slightly lower primarily due to a weak forecast from DuPont (NYSE:DD), but the S&P 500 closed at its two year high, while Nasdaq moved to its highest level since December 2007. The major benchmark indices swayed on the back of forecasts and reports. DuPont’s (NYSE:DD) forecast of earnings for 2011 was below the Street estimates, and this somewhat led to the slight fall in the DJIA. The stock fell 1.14%. But the other key indices modestly advanced primarily based on reports that instilled optimism about the economy. The government’s count of weekly initial jobless claims was downsized to 421,000, and it bettered analysts’ expectation of 425,000. Investors took a positive stance, somewhat banking on this positive report

Sales over the past three-four quarters have been suffering due to passing on of lower dairy commodity costs and reduced sales volume in the WhiteWave-Morningstar segment. Nevertheless, management has taken definitive actions to improve shareholder and consumer value and extend its low-cost position while focusing on boosting branded product business through acquisitions (including Alpro). While the company is focused on effective pass-through of changes in dairy input costs, near-term visibility of rising raw milk prices may impede earnings and margins in the upcoming reporting periods.
