The cam phasing technologies include cam torque actuated (CTA) and torsional assist (TA) phasers together with optional mid position lock technology. The phasers consist of integrated center bolt and spool valve, which facilitates installation and supports smaller package size. In addition, it provides automakers provision to select the best technology with a compact package and simplified installation system. The CTA phasers use the torsional energy in the valve train and thus operate faster under a wider range of engine speeds and temperatures using less engine oil compared with the conventional VCT systems. On the other hand, the TA phasers uses torsional energy and standard engine

The sale includes a manufacturing facility in Bretten, Germany that employs 230 people. BorgWarner acquired the tire pressure monitoring business in 2005 as a part of its BERU diesel cold start and ignition systems business. The company would incur a book loss of approximately $10–$15 million due to the sale of the business. The sale of the business at a book loss is not a negative factor when the company is highly optimistic about its powertrain business. BorgWarner expects net new powertrain business of $2.5 billion from 2012 through 2014, reflecting a 9% increase from its previous three-year net new business.
The Indian telecom industry made history as the government finally kick-started the long-awaited 3G WCDMA spectrum (radio airwave) auction on Friday, April 9, 2010. India’s Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is conducting the 3G auction over the Internet with the bidders having respective passwords for accessing the sale process.
BorgWarner (BWA) revealed that it has been selected to supply friction materials and plates for the new ZF 8-speed automatic transmission (8HP), debuting on the 2010 BMW 760i. The Michigan-based company manufactures the multi-segmented friction material in Heidelberg, Germany. It has already supplied friction materials and one-way clutches for ZF’s current 6HP transmission models.
